FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Honest answers to the questions most families ask.
What services do you provide?
We provide assisted living โ 24/7 supervision, personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting), medication management, three home-style meals a day, housekeeping and laundry, daily activities, and coordination with each resident's healthcare providers. See the Services page for the full list.
How much does it cost?
Pricing depends on level of care, room type, and individual needs. We prefer to talk with you, understand your situation, and give you a straightforward quote rather than list a generic number. Call us at (443) 493-7577 to learn more.
Do you accept Medicaid?
We participate in Maryland's Medicaid waiver programs where applicable. Eligibility depends on the resident's specific situation. Call us and we'll walk you through what applies in your case.
What is the move-in process?
Three steps. First, schedule a visit so you can see the community and meet the team. Second, complete our admission application (download it from our Resources page or we'll send it during the visit). Third, our delegating nurse completes a level-of-care assessment to determine the right care plan. The full process typically takes 1โ2 weeks from first call to move-in.
Can families visit anytime?
Yes. We welcome family involvement. We ask visitors to sign in for resident safety and infection control, but otherwise our doors are open during reasonable hours. Special visits and overnight stays can be arranged.
What happens if my loved one's needs change?
We reassess each resident every six months โ and sooner if their condition changes. If needs progress beyond what we can safely support, we work closely with the family on next steps and transition planning. We never spring a discharge on a family.
Are you licensed?
Yes. We're licensed by the Maryland Office of Health Care Quality (OHCQ) under COMAR Chapter 10.07.14. Our license is on display in the community and verifiable through OHCQ. We're surveyed regularly and welcome scrutiny โ it's how we stay sharp.
What activities do you offer?
Daily activities calibrated to our residents' interests โ music, games, crafts, exercise, outdoor time when weather allows, group meals, special celebrations, and intergenerational programs through our Towson University partnership. We adapt to what each resident enjoys, not the other way around.
What about meals and dietary restrictions?
Three home-style meals a day, plus snacks on demand. We accommodate dietary restrictions โ diabetic, low-sodium, mechanical soft, vegetarian, religious requirements. Tell us at intake and we adjust.
Do you provide memory care?
We accept residents with mild to moderate cognitive impairment. For residents with advanced dementia requiring secured-unit memory care, we'll help you find the right specialized community. Honesty here matters more than capturing every lead.
What's your staffing ratio?
We maintain staffing ratios that meet or exceed Maryland regulatory minimums for our level of care, around the clock. Specific ratios vary by time of day and resident acuity. We're small enough that staff know every resident by name.
Can I tour without committing?
Absolutely. Most families tour 2โ4 communities before making a decision. We expect that, and we welcome it. Call (443) 493-7577 or schedule through our Contact page.
